So exhausted today. I came home from work and had a 6 hour "nap". It's now almost midnight and I'm trying to gear myself up for a shower before bed. I just wanna sleeeeeep. Three more days of work before almost 2 weeks off! I'm so glad I asked for all that time, not just for the ski trip (!) but to recover from this job. I keep meaning to mail in my application to the call centre, but when I pass out after work not much work can be done. Sorry if I'm incoherent today, I'm tired. Duh, eh?
Let's see, what story can I tell before stumbling off to bed. Umm, drive thru was hell today. I'm not sure why some days it seems to lack a sense of organization, but it sure did today, and everything kind of fell apart at times. No one was sticking to their set jobs, everyone was moving around. Things weren't getting done and the person making sandwiches was overwhelmed so it was taking forever. It was painful. I tried to keep the coffee made and the sandwiches made, but it wasn't going well. Customers kept getting annoyed at me for taking too long, though I wasn't the one making the problems. I hate that. I hate having to apologize for things that aren't my fault. Here's my hint of the day, if you're on a time limit and can't sit in a row of cars for any amount of time, don't go through a drive thru. You can't just leave, and things are going to come up, they always do, that are going to make you late. Get out of your car, that way if you must leave, you can. Don't blame me for your own decision to sit there. I'll do my best, but not everyone working in a drive thru will. This is meant to be real advice, and not snarking at my customers, cause I appreciate that most of them didn't give me too much trouble today, but that one guy, you know who you are, can, well...you know. I'll be more chipper (or more bitter!) tomorrow. =)

This site is awesome. It's exactly like what launch at Yahoo was trying to be, but done way better, because you don't get a 30 second commercial between EVERY SONG DAMMIT. Ahem. Anyway, you type in a group or singer you like to make a "playlist". Then they play you songs they think are similar. It's not based on the "group" sound, but the sound by each song. I think that's awesome. Then you tell them if you liked it or not and that info gets added to the playlist. I'm discovering a bunch of new bands I had never even heard of before. Only one ad on the site (for now, but they promise that that's going to change, oh well). My playlists are Jason Mraz, Chantal Kreviazuk, Sarah Harmer, Third Eye Blind, and Iron and Wine. Check it out, no seriously, check it out.
